Jessica Heath, Natural Resource Specialist (Park Ranger) USACE – Lake Red Rock, came to Vriendschap Village to talk to our residents about geocaching. Have you heard about the geocaching? It is a modern-day nature scavenger hunt. Participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches,” at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.
Jessica brought GPS devices for our residents and led them outside to find 6 geocaches on our property hidden. Thanks so much Jessica for your time and expertise we really enjoyed it.
