Residents and staff traveled to downtown Pella to celebrate the beginning of summer with the first Thursday Evening in Pella event. Highlights were a bike rodeo for the kids, dancing from a local dance troup, a fire juggler and of course the famous Pella Community Band.

Wow, what a great Pella Tulip Time 2018 for the town and the residents, friends and staff of Vriendschap Village. We welcomed many visitors to our town and participated in all the events: the food, the street sweeping, the parades and all of the fun! We look forward to doing it again next year!

The Pella Opera House is finishing up a month-long display of Anne Frank, complete with information story boards and a short movie. Our residents traveled to the Opera House this week and appreciated the effort on how well the display was done and making it available free of charge to the public.

We definitely got into the fall season this week with a trip to Pierce's Pumpkin patch. The residents picked out pumpkins and other fall decorations and we picked out about a half a dozen pumpkins to decorate the entrance of the building with.
